CAD/CAM

Through design and manufacturing

With background in machining and manufacturing, our CAD engineers can make recommendations on how the part can be constructed to lower down costs without sacrificing quality or performance requirements. Once a design is complete in CAD, it will be imported into CAM software, convert the 3D model from CAD design into specific machining toolpaths instructions for CNC machining. The combination of CAD and CAM enable us to design, develop and manufacture products more efficiently.

DFM/DFA

Design for Manufacturing / Assembly

DFM helps to identify and solve potential production issues in the design phase, makes sure the design is optimized for the manufacturing process like injection molding, die-casting . We provide analysis of material selection, gating, parting line, water line design, draft and proper wall thicknesses, etc. With DFM and DFA, more cost-effective solutions for manufacturing and assembly can be applied. It can significantly shorten the product development cycle time, allow for a smoother transition to full-scale production.

Moldflow Analysis

Upon request, we can provide mold flow analysis to simulate the flow of resin during injection molding. The analysis intends to check for filling pattern, gating location, injection pressure, temperature, and find potential defects like sink marks, warping, shear stress, weld line, etc. Through this analysis, we can minimize these defects by optimizing the product and mold structure, and also streamline the injection molding process. As a result, we will improve the product quality and reduce the manufacturing time.
